Karen and Marvin Jones welcomed January Kristen on January 5, 1978, in South Dakota. According to her mother, January’s name was not from her birth month but from the character, January Wayne.

But her breakthrough role was in the drama series, Mad Men when she portrayed a leading role. Her character, Betty Draper, is the wife of Don Draper, who’s emotionally distant and immature despite being a mother of three.
January Jones showed her most magnificent performance in the series, even garnering two nominations at the Golden Globes and one at the Emmy’s. Jones also won a Screen Actors Guild Award along with her co-stars.
As a leading role, Jones appeared in 92 episodes, from season 1 to season 7. Season one premiered in 2007, and Jones’ last appearance was in 2015.
