Barbara Palvin was born on October 8, 1996, in Budapest. Her entire childhood was also in Budapest and spent most of her days visiting her grandmother, who is from the countryside. Barbara had a beautiful face, even when she was still young. When she was 13 years old, a modeling scout noticed her while walking with her mom. It was then the start of Barbara’s modeling career.
In 2006, Barbara had her first photoshoot for Spur Magazine. Then, she moved to Asia to further her career as a model. While in Asia, she got featured in covers for L’Officiel Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, and even L’Officiel Paris. Palvin also posed for Vogue Portugal, Marie Claire in Italy and Hungary, and Glamour Hungary. If that is not enough, she posed for covers of Allure Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, and Elle.
Aside from her cover shoots, Barbara also posed for clothing lines such as H&M, Pull & Bear, Armani Exchange, and her latest family, Victoria’s Secret. With her enchanting looks, she became an ambassador for L’Oreal Paris.
Being a newbie to the modeling world was a little challenging for Barbara since many critics saw her as a plus-size model. Although body-shaming is one of the problems in the industry of modeling, it did not stop Barbara from walking the runways of fashion shows and posing for shots.
In February 2010, Palvin showed the audience her stunning body when she walked the runway on Milan Fashion Week. She modeled for Prada on the show. She also walked for other luxury brands like Nina Ricci, Luis Vuitton, and opened the Chanel pre-show in 2011.
Barbara’s first runway show with Victoria’s Secret was in 2012, and she returned in 2018. Then, in 2019, she officially became Victoria’s Secret angel.
