Stefania Spampinato grew up in a small town at the foot of the Etna volcano, called Belpasso. From an early age, she was passionate about the arts, she started dancing at the age of 6. In 2017, she joined the successful medical drama television series, Grey’s Anatomy, in order to play Dr. Carina Deluca, the sister of the character played by Giacomo Gianniotti. It was his first major role on television after having participated in numerous independent and minor short and feature films.
One of the female characters that she likes is that of Rosario Dawson in Seven Souls, by Muccino.
