Patch 1.2 for Cyberpunk 2077 will be released soon, which should fix a lot of bugs in the game.
CD Projekt Red gave more details about the upcoming patch last night – a precise release date has not yet been set. Patch 1.2 should have been released in February, but was then postponed to March.
For example, the problem where computer-controlled characters are spawned behind players’ backs will be tackled, so that police officers cannot just appear behind the player. This should give the feeling that it takes a while for the police to arrive at the scene of the crime. A drone also first appears at the destination, so that the police can see what is going on.
The way in which vehicles can be driven is also being changed. Many players have problems keeping vehicles on the road, especially when playing with a keyboard or on platforms with a lower frame rate. The game will have a meter with which the sensitivity of the steering wheel can be adjusted. CD Projekt also adds an ‘Unstuck’ option, with which vehicles that are stuck in the level design can be removed.
Below are some examples of additions to the patch. It is not yet known exactly when the patch will be released.
